The Department of Health reported nine new cases of the coronavirus and no new deaths on Thursday. Total cases in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic now number 24,357, and total deaths remain 256.

New cases were reported Thursday in seven of Vermont’s 14 counties:

  • Windsor: 3
  • Chittenden: 2
  • Rutland: 2
  • Addison: 1
  • Windham: 1

As of Thursday, four people were hospitalized with a confirmed case of Covid-19, with one person in intensive care. 

The state reported that 1,716,955 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since the start of the pandemic. As of Thursday, 398,666 individual people had been tested. The seven-day average test positivity rate was 0.7%.
