The Department of Health reported 73 new cases of the coronavirus and no new deaths on Tuesday. Total cases in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic now number 21,388, and total deaths remain 233.

New cases were reported Tuesday in 13 of Vermont’s 14 counties.

  • Rutland: 9
  • Orleans: 8
  • Bennington: 6
  • Addison: 4
  • Franklin: 4
  • Windsor: 4
  • Caledonia: 3
  • Lamoille: 3
  • Orange: 2
  • Washington: 2
  • Windham: 2
  • Grand Isle: 1

As of Tuesday, 30 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19. Five of those people were in intensive care.

The state reported that 1,438,574 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since the start of the pandemic. As of Tuesday, 367,280 individual people had been tested. The seven-day average test positivity rate was 1.8%.

Eligible Vermonters can register for vaccine appointments at healthvermont.gov/MyVaccine. Currently eligible are:

  • All Vermonters 30 and older
  • School, public safety and health care employees
  • Vermonters 16 and older with qualifying health conditions, or caregivers of anyone with qualifying health conditions
  • Vermonters 16 and older who identify as Black, Indigenous or people of color (BIPOC)
