The Department of Health reported 68 new cases of the coronavirus on Monday, bringing the total confirmed in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,172. Two new deaths were reported, bringing the total deaths since March to 69.

New cases were reported Monday in 13 counties:

  • Chittenden: 15
  • Franklin: 11
  • Lamoille: 7
  • Washington: 7
  • Bennington: 5
  • Orange: 5
  • Caledonia: 4
  • Windham: 4
  • Essex: 3
  • Orleans: 2
  • Addison: 2
  • Windsor: 2
  • Rutland: 1

As of Tuesday, 21 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19, with five in intensive care. Four more were hospitalized with suspected cases.

The state reported that 552,954 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since mid-March. As of Tuesday, 224,284 people have been tested. The seven-day positivity rate is 1.4%.
