The Department of Health reported two new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus Wednesday, bringing the total number of positive tests in the state since the beginning of the outbreak to 929.
No new deaths related to the virus were reported. Fifty-three people have died of the illness in Vermont.
According to the Department of Health, five people are currently hospitalized with the illness and another 12 people are in the hospital and suspected to have the virus.
To date, a total of 21,676 tests for the virus have been administered in Vermont. State officials have vowed to expand testing as more businesses and other operations open up in Vermont.
