The Department of Health reported 165 new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday, and an increase of 348 since Friday. Total cases in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic now number 8,967. Total deaths held steady at 156.
New cases were reported Sunday in all 14 counties.

As of Friday, 37 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19, with 10 in intensive care. Six more were hospitalized with suspected cases.
The state reported that 759,011 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since mid-March, an increase of 15,240 since Friday. As of Sunday, 279,163 people have been tested. The seven-day average positivity rate is 2.8%, down from 2.8% on Friday.
