The Department of Health reported 14 new cases of the coronavirus Friday, bringing the total cases confirmed in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic to 2,155. 

Cases were reported in the following counties:

  • Chittenden: 8
  • Windham: 3
  • Addison: 1
  • Rutland: 1
  • Windsor: 1

As of Friday at noon, four people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19, with two people in intensive care. To date, 58 people have died with the illness, the last reported on July 28.

The state reported that 188,683 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since mid-March, an increase of 581 since Thursday. The seven-day positivity rate is 0.5%.
