Health Department reports 109 new cases on Monday

The Department of Health reported 109 new cases of the coronavirus and no new deaths on Monday. Total cases in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic now number 9,078, and total deaths number 156. 

New cases were reported Monday in 11 counties.

  • Chittenden: 30
  • Lamoille: 18
  • Windsor: 12
  • Bennington: 12
  • Addison: 10
  • Rutland: 9
  • Windham: 8
  • Orange: 5
  • Caledonia: 2
  • Franklin: 2
  • Essex: 1

As of Monday, 47 people were hospitalized with confirmed cases of Covid-19, with ten in intensive care. Six more were hospitalized with suspected cases.

The state reported that 761,740 tests have been administered for the illness in Vermont since mid-March. As of Monday, 280,012 people have been tested. The seven-day average positivity rate is 2.6%.
