The Department of Public Service is collecting information from Vermonters to identify locations where students lack internet access or where service needs to be improved.
The department released a map last week showing broadband speeds available at addresses across the state based on data collected annually. The map includes a survey for Vermonters to fill out about their internet needs.
“If your children can’t access the Internet from home, we want you to call us,” Commissioner June Tierney said.
She said the department wants to work with utilities and providers to get internet to get access at home to support children’s educational needs, for medical care or to work from home.
