Four new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Vermont Monday, bringing the total number of cases identified in the state since the beginning of the outbreak to 962.
The Department of Health reported two new cases on Saturday and four new cases on Sunday, according to the latest numbers posted on the state’s tracking website.
Since the virus was first identified in Vermont, 54 people have died of the illness, according to the state. No new deaths were reported over the weekend.
As of Monday, two people who were confirmed to have Covid-19 were being treated in Vermont’s hospitals. An additional 17 people were in the hospital with suspected cases of the virus that were under investigation.
The state has tested a total of 29,669 people since early March for the virus.
