The importance of our pets

Aug 2 2022, 10:05 AM

Responding to the story about “Jean” and her homelessness with her two pups.

It was said that people love their pets like family members. Most people who love their critters as Jean does love them more than family members. I include myself in that category. Accommodations need to be made.

It is my experience that often pets are less trouble than people.

I do understand Jean’s position. What I do not understand is why there are so many homeless people. In any society, there will be homeless people for myriad reasons, but not to the degree we are experiencing it now.

It’s sad commentary for a nation as wealthy as ours. The gap between the haves and the have-nots will bring us all down.
