Give kids a chance to get vaccinated

Nov 24 2021, 9:52 AM

I am grateful my children have recently received their first Covid-19 vaccine but I worry with the increase in cases they won’t even have a chance to be fully vaccinated and fully protected from potential long-term impacts of Covid-19.

Covid cases are at an all-time high and yet mandates and safety measures are at an all-time low.

Are we keeping track of how many kids will get Covid before they even have a chance to get to their vaccine appointments?

Do we really care more about protecting adults who choose not to wear masks than protecting kids who haven’t even had the opportunity to be fully vaccinated?

The governor has chosen to protect the adults who choose not to wear masks. The questions remain, will lawmakers take two weeks to protect kids? And how many kids will get Covid in the time it takes to act?
