The blaze late Tuesday morning did not result in any serious injuries, according to authorities. By the afternoon, they were still assessing whether, and how badly, any buildings were damaged.
“It has such a big impact in communities all over the state,” said Caitlin Corkins, grants coordinator at the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation. “These are buildings that are really treasured by their communities.”
The MicroMoo is one of five two-year pilot projects across the state selected by the Vermont Agency of Transportation to bolster and diversify rural public transportation.
