Police identified two brothers as the victims of a Sunday shooting in Leicester.

Scott Lanpher, 35, was killed and Larry Lanpher Jr., 31, is still under medical care at University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermont State Police said in a Tuesday evening press release. Larry Lanpher’s condition is unknown.

Police have ruled the elder brother’s death a homicide after an autopsy determined his death was caused by gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made, according to police, but authorities said they believe “there is no danger to the community.”

The brothers both lived at 1352 U.S. Route 7 in Leicester, where the shooting occurred, police said.

Both victims were found by the roadside on Route 7 late Sunday, according to an earlier state police press release.
