A substitute teacher from Lowell has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old Lowell Graded School student on multiple occasions, Vermont State Police said in a press release Thursday.
Jesse Waldenville, 41, was arrested Thursday and is facing four counts of sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault of a child, and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, according to police.
Police said Waldenville arrived at the state police barracks in Derby on Wednesday and asked to speak with a trooper. After an investigation, police said they learned he had sexually assaulted a Lowell Graded School student multiple times this month. Waldenville is a substitute teacher at the school.
Waldenville is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday afternoon.
