Big Ag corporations create lots of pollution — like manure waste running off into local waterways, creating health hazards for nearby residents. And factory farms don’t just harm communities; they also accelerate the climate crisis with huge greenhouse gas emissions.

But most of these companies refuse to disclose their pollution while raking in profits from factory-farmed meat.

Much of the federal government’s food spending goes to these big corporations that have been hiding their polluting practices from the public. Fortunately, a new proposal would force these companies to report and reduce emissions. The Big Ag lobby is fighting to stop it. They want all of us to stay in the dark about how much they pollute.

They must not get their way! Tell your members of Congress to support plans to require Big Ag to report and reduce their pollution.
