Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund IE PAC honors Senator Ginny Lyons, Attorney General T.J. Donovan at Sex, Politics & Cocktails event

Colchester, VT – Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund Independent Expenditure Political Action Committee (PPVTAF IE PAC) honored five extraordinary Choice Champions at its Sex, Politics & Cocktails event at the Farmhouse Tap & Grill in Burlington on Thursday, October 10th.

PPVTAF IE PAC saluted Choice Champion honorees Senator Virginia "Ginny" Lyons for her incredible leadership in the Vermont Senate to advance legislation protecting reproductive rights for all; Attorney General T.J. Donovan and colleagues Deputy Attorney General Josh Diamond, and Assistant Attorney General Eleanor "Ella" Spottswood for their dedication to protecting and advancing reproductive justice in Vermont; and Zoe Koeninger for their work as a Planned Parenthood of Northern New England Peer Educator to improve the health and safety of their school and community.

Choice Champion awards honor the work of volunteers, supporters, and community members who protect and expand access to sexual and reproductive health care in Vermont.

“2019 was an incredibly significant year for the advancement of reproductive rights in Vermont. The right to access abortion care without government interference became state law, and a major milestone was reached in the steps toward guaranteeing reproductive liberty in the Vermont constitution,” said Lucy Leriche, Vice President of Public Affairs, PPVTAF IE PAC. “We’re so proud to honor this year’s Choice Champions Senator Ginny Lyons, Attorney General T.J. Donovan, Deputy Attorney General Josh Diamond, Assistant Attorney General Ella Spottswood for their inspirational leadership in ensuring reproductive rights are protected for all Vermonters, no matter what happens in Washington, D.C. And we’re thrilled to salute Choice Champion Zoe Koeninger for all of their accomplishments as a PPNNE Peer Educator, most importantly for being a young leader who set an example for creating a healthy environment for their school.”
