Over 450 talented Vermont students graduate from the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont

South Burlington, VT — 455 Vermont high school students graduated from the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont (GIV) this summer. GIV hosts intensive, hands-on learning experiences for young people on college campuses throughout Vermont. These programs provide the opportunity for students to dig into a topic they are passionate about, experience life on a college campus, and make new friends from all over the state.

Eleven Institutes were held this summer in the following topics:

• Architecture, Design & Building
• Arts
• Asian Cultures
• Astronomy
• Current Issues & Youth Activism
• Engineering
• Entrepreneurship
• Environmental Science & Technology
• Information Technology & Digital Media
• Mathematical Sciences
• Writing
