News Release -- Republican Party of Windsor County
Sept. 4, 2015

John MacGovern

WINDSOR, VT, September 4, 2015 — The Republican Party of Windsor County announced today that a gala dinner is being held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Tracy Hall, Norwich, Vermont from 5:30 to 9:00. The dinner is meant to celebrate core Republican principles of market-based economics, limited government, and a strong defense. In addition to a full-course meal there will be a cash bar, and guests will be invited to participate in a raffle. A number of prominent Republican, conservative and libertarian speakers have been invited to attend this event, including Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Bruce Lisman, Ben Carson, and former Vermont Governor Jim Douglas. A Soap Box will be available to all Republican candidates who show up. Dan Feliciano, a Libertarian who has become a Republican, has already accepted an invitation to speak.

John MacGovern, Chairman of the Windsor County Republicans, noted that this event is a “friend-raiser, not a fundraiser”. He went on to state that “ this event, and others like it, is intended to prepare for the 2016 election and to spread the word about Republican values and policies that have been guiding good government for 150 years. We hope anyone who is curious about what Republicans are thinking these days will plan to attend this dinner.”

The cost of the event is $25.00 and tickets may be purchased in advance by going to the Windsor County GOP Facebook page, or sending a check for $25 to WCGOP, PO Box 82, Windsor, VT 05089, or at the door. Anyone interested in more information about this event, including sponsorship opportunities, should contact John MacGovern at 802-238-3970.
