VTDigger will host its first Twitter chat — #VTDchat — from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, and we’ll do it again at the same time Nov. 24. We’ll talk about election results and start gearing up for the 2015 legislative session — but it’s you we want to to hear from. Vermonter? Former Vermonter? Vermont lover? Chime in.

Twitter chats, for those who don’t know, are group conversations on Twitter that use a specific hashtag to tie tweets together. To participate, you just need a Twitter account. When you search for a particular hashtag, all tweets that include the hashtag will appear in your feed. In this case, you’ll look for #VTDchat. (But don’t look yet! We haven’t started, so there’s not much to see until Tuesday!) VTDigger reporters will facilitate the chat with questions to prompt conversation. Stay tuned for more detailed instructions.

In the meantime, think about debriefing from the general election. What do you think about the near-upset in the governor’s race — and how legislators should vote to settle it in January? How can Vermont increase voter turnout? What’s your take on the role of minor parties? What’s the future of public financing? We’ll discuss all these things and more.

Got your own ideas for things to chat about? Send them our way. We’ll be taking suggestions by email (send to VTDchat@vtdigger.org to reach the right person) through Monday afternoon.

See you online!
