Vermont voters can find their polling location on a new interactive map released last week by Campaign for Vermont.

The public policy research group published the tool online in advance of Vermont’s general election on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The data for all polling locations throughout the state includes each location’s address and the time it opens.

Polls open between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., depending up the town, according to the Secretary of State. All polling places close at 7 p.m.

Campaign for Vermont executive director Cyrus Patten said the data used to create the map was provided by the Secretary of State’s office, and each location was independently verified by each town clerk’s office.

Patten said the tool, designed to encourage and facilitate voter participation, is in line with the organization’s mission of connecting Vermonters to their government.

“In terms of sending a message to lawmakers, no act speaks louder than a vote,” Patten said.

To use the map, hover your mouse over the geographic area where you live, then double-click to zoom in. Each red dot represents a polling location. When you click on a dot, a small window pops up with information about the polling place’s location and hours.

The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming mid-term election passed on Wednesday. For more information about voter registration, visit the Secretary of State’s voter registration web page,  or your own town or city clerk.
