Arson has been ruled out as the cause of an early morning fire Monday that caused $2 million in damage to a Sugarbush condominium complex, Vermont State Police said Tuesday.

The exact cause has yet to be determined but is believed to be linked to a heating unit in one of the condos.

The fire damaged 36 units of the Mountainside condo complex at the Warren ski resort. The three-story building was evacuated and no one was injured, police said.

Fire crews from Warren, Waitsfield, Waterbury, Moretown, Stowe and Berlin responded.
