Thanks to the more than 250 readers who contributed during our end of year campaign, we’ve made our goal of $35,000! We can now begin the New Year in the black.

We are grateful for your outpouring of support.

VTDigger relies on funding from grants, business sponsors and readers. We know that grant support doesn’t last forever. The more our work is supported by readers like you, the more sustainable our operation will become.

VTDigger is free because we are a nonprofit dedicated to public service journalism. We will never have a paywall. But we depend on your voluntary support of our work. If each of our 5,000 to 6,000 daily readers each gave $50 annually (about 13 cents a day), we would have a solid financial foundation for VTDigger of $250,000 a year.

We look forward to continuing to bring you the news and information you need on a daily basis as the legislative session opens in January and throughout the year.

Happy New Year!

Why don’t you set it up like VPR where sustaining members can automatically have $10, $25 etc taken out of their credit card or checking account on a monthly basis?
