Al Franken to speak at Democratic Party’s Annual David W. Curtis Awards Dinner

Editor’s note: This invitation from Sen. Patrick Leahy was distributed by the Vermont Democratic Party on Wed. Feb. 2, 2011.

On March 19th, we will once again celebrate the memory of our dear friend David Curtis with the Democratic Party’s Annual David W. Curtis Awards Dinner.

Marcelle and I are excited to welcome our friend Senator Al Franken to Vermont as this year’s featured speaker at the Curtis Awards.

Please join us on Saturday, March 19th at the Hilton in Burlington to welcome this year’s special guest and keynote speaker, my colleague, Senator Al Franken of Minnesota.

In the last decade we have achieved much of what David fought for as a tireless advocate for civil rights and Democratic ideals: fair pay and reproductive rights for women and marriage equality for all Vermonters.

This year, Vermont Democrats will come together on Saturday, March 19th to celebrate the life of David Curtis and celebrate our numerous accomplishments as Democrats and Vermonters. Please RSVP today to join us on March 19th.

You can help the Vermont Democratic Party by offering your own nominations for this year’s Curtis Award recipients.

Please submit your nominee for this year’s Curtis Awards by clicking here.

Vermont has produced so many strong Democratic leaders and there are numerous worthy recipients. Please take a moment to provide your input for this year’s Curtis Awards recipient.

Thank you for your help. Marcelle and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 19th.

Senator Patrick Leahy
