VPT hires Margolis as special assignment correspondent
Starting in January 2011, Margolis will contribute several special reports a year. He plans to make them in-depth reports on subjects not being covered by the state’s news organizations. When he posts a report, he will join the panel on “Vermont This Week” to discuss it, along with the other stories of the week.
VPT documentary about history of newspapering debuts Dec. 1
The documentary, “Headline Vermont,” chronicles the art of newspapering from the frontier era to the 20th century and features interviews with journalists, including Nick Monsarrat, an editor for VTdigger.org.

Vermont Public Television will honor and help veterans with two specials airing on Nov. 11 and 12. VPT’s monthly “Public Square” special, broadcast and webcast live on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 8 p.m., will look at services available in Vermont for veterans of all ages.
