President taps General Dubie to be Deputy Commander of NORTHCOM
The Vermont Congressional Delegation announced Thursday that President Obama has tapped the Adjutant General of the Vermont National Guard, Major General Michael Dubie, for a top post in the U.S. military’s homeland defense mission.

If confirmed, Dubie, who has served as Vermont’s senior uniformed officer since 2007, would become a three-star general.

The Vermont National Guard will be receiving 200 Engineers from the Maine National Guard this evening, joining with members of the 131st Engineers in helping to reestablish passable roadways so people can safely move about their communities.
