Vermont Alliance For Retired Americans annual conference

The Vermont Alliance For Retired Americans, (VARA) will hold its 8th
Annual Conference on November 17th at the Montpelier Sr. Activity
Center, 58 Barre Street, Montpelier. The day long meeting which
starts with registration/coffee at 9 AM is titled: “Vermont’s Emerging
Health Care System: What’s Next?” and is open to the public for a
registration fee of $10 which includes lunch. National and state
speakers will discuss Vermont’s efforts and challenges towards
providing universal health care for all its citizens. Deborah
Richter, M.D. will be honored as Health Care Advocate of the year.
Barbara Easterling, Wendell Potter and Anya Rader-Wallach will
present. Yearly memberships are $10 and more information is available
