UPDATED: Town by town map of Vermont gubernatorial race results
Dubie held on to towns in Franklin and Orange counties and the Northeast Kingdom, according to unofficial ballot tallies. Shumlin had a strong showing in Windham, Chittenden and Washington Counties.

As of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, WCAX reported the vote count: Shumlin, 114,097 votes; Dubie, 110,543, with 95.6 percent of precincts reporting.

Democrat Jim Condos will be Vermont’s next secretary of state, decisively defeating Republican Jason Gibbs last night, 52 to 45 percent.
In spite of “obstacles,” Salmon beats Hoffer in auditor’s race
Salmon had 109,248 votes to Hoffer’s 91,088. Salmon’s solid victory ran counter to the prediction of two Vermont political pundits, who thought Hoffer would win in a close race.
