UPDATED: Town by town map of Vermont gubernatorial race results
Dubie held on to towns in Franklin and Orange counties and the Northeast Kingdom, according to unofficial ballot tallies. Shumlin had a strong showing in Windham, Chittenden and Washington Counties.

We posted an earlier version of this map yesterday. This is the final version based on the unofficial results from the Associated Press, which gave Shumlin a 192-vote lead over Racine. Racine says he will decide whether to ask for a recount once the official results are in.
Student teacher ratio by supervisory union, 2009
Interestingly it is not just the rural Supervisory Unions that have low student-teacher ratios. The Hartford District has the third lowest student-teacher ratio with 8.9 students for every full time teacher with Montpelier District coming in at 9.9 students per teacher.

Of communities with a larger than 60% of land area in current use, 7 of the 22 are farm-based. The rest of the list is primarily forested communities.
High speed broadband availability in Vermont
As of June 2009 there were 41 Vermont towns with less than 10 percent high speed broadband access and 20 of those towns that have no broadband coverage.
