What: A news conference and photo opportunity to kick-off the 2013 “Blue Socks for Kids” project and notify needy Vermont families with children that free, high-quality wool socks will be available again for the 6th year thanks to the joint efforts of a charitable foundation affiliated with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, sock manufacturer Cabot Hosiery Mills of Northfield, Vermont, and the state’s community action agencies and homeless shelters. Through this partnership sponsored by BCBSVT, more than 150,000 pairs of Vermont-made socks have been delivered to our state’s neediest children.
