Vermont Environmental Consortium in Partnership with Green Mountain Power and the Regional Development Corporations of Vermont Presents:
Celebrating Entrepreneurship In Vermont’s Environmental & Energy Business Sectors
RUTLAND-You’re invited to be a part of the Vermont Environmental Consortium’s Fall Conference: Celebrating Entrepreneurship in Vermont’s Environmental & Energy Business Sectors on Thursday, November 21, 2013 in downtown Rutland, VT. Partnering with the VEC is Green Mountain Power and the Regional Development Corporations of Vermont. This year’s conference is focused on celebrating Vermont’s emerging environmental & energy businesses.
Guest speakers include Green Mountain Power President Mary Powell, Governor Peter Shumlin, Rutland Mayor Chris Louras; & Matt Dunne Head of Community Affairs for Google.
A Financing Innovation Panel will be moderated by Janice St. Onge of VSJF with panelists Will Raap, Gardner’s Supply Co.; Eli Moulton, Merritt, Merritt & Moulton; Luke Shullenberger, Green Lantern Development Corporation; & Tim Davis, Fresh Tracks Capital. There will be tours of Green Mountain Power’s new Energy Innovation Center, displays on Vermont educational Institutions’ award winning environmental projects & programs, and a sneak peak at VEC’s new Green Careers website.
John Forcier of Forcier Consulting Engineers will speak about “BioDigester: Power to Save Family Farms and the Environment”, Bill Maclay of Maclay Architects will speak about “Net Zero, Net Zero Ready, Carbon Neutral Buildings: What are they? Why build one? And how?”, and Cairn G. Cross of FreshTracks Capital will discuss the FreshTracks Database.
The event runs from 8:00AM – 6:00PM in downtown Rutland, VT. Registration, Trade Show, presentations & workshops will be held at the Opera House at 67 Merchants Row and the reception & facility tours will be at the GMP Energy Innovation Center at 68 Merchants Row. Registration includes lunch at Three Tomatoes Trattoria at 88 Merchants Row.
