Vermont’s new health exchange Web portal experienced significant slowdowns on its launch Tuesday.
Shumlin administration officials acknowledged that the site functionality was too slow for some members of the public to access information on Vermont Health Connect.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. about 5,500 unique visitors attempted to use the website. Mark Larson, commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access, told reporters that he couldn’t confirm how many people had become registered users.
At 3:48 p.m. when VTDigger attempted to go to the site, it was down.
