VTDigger is moving to 97 State St. in Montpelier, across the street from the Capitol Plaza Hotel. Our former location was on Main Street.

Our new office (on the second floor) gives us better proximity to the Statehouse and more space for meetings with sources, readers and supporters. For the first time, our reporters and editors will be in one room. The business staff will be together in an adjacent office.

In a few months, we plan to offer public news meetings for readers and members of VTDigger. We want your feedback, tips and ideas to help make VTDigger’s watchdog coverage of state government, politics, business, the environment, health care, education and energy even stronger. You know us online; we want you to know us in person, too.

The move is one of a number of changes we are making to improve our service to readers. This fall we are putting the finishing touches on a web redesign; we will be posting our campaign finance database; and we are launching a reader membership campaign.

As soon as we are settled into 97 State St., we will be announcing an open house this month. We hope you’ll drop by.

VTDigger's founder and editor-at-large.
