FEMA Public Assistance Applicant Briefing & Kick Off Meeting for Grand Isle County – Tropical Storm Irene
The Vermont Agency of Transportation will be holding an applicant briefing for communities in Grand Isle County, which was added to the qualified counties for Public Assistance due to impacts from Tropical Storm Irene, on Friday. Attendance at this meeting will help applicants navigate the FEMA funding process.
Representatives from municipalities and qualifying Private Non-Profit (PNP) applicants affected by Tropical Storm Irene are invited to a meeting to learn how to apply for federal reimbursement for flood response and recovery costs for eligible public infrastructure such as debris removal, emergency protective measures, and the repair, replacement, or restoration of disaster-damaged, publicly owned facilities and the facilities of certain Private Non-Profit (PNP) organizations.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the South Hero Town Clerk’s Office, 333 Route 2, South Hero.
