Dubie “Test Flight” Takes Off Saturday:
Goal to Knock on 10,000 Doors and Make 15,000 Calls
Essex Junction, VT – Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie’s campaign will launch an ambitious grassroots effort called the “Test Flight” this weekend. Hundreds of volunteers across the state will gear up for the general election, making phone calls and knocking on doors to build momentum for Dubie’s campaign for governor.
The Test Flight will mobilize supporters from seven base locations to knock on 10,000 doors and make 15,000 phone calls this weekend. Volunteers will meet at 9:30 a.m. and begin making calls and knocking on doors at 10:00 a.m. Brian Dubie will kick off the Test Flight in person from the Springfield location, welcoming and thanking volunteers in all locations via conference call. Reporters are invited to stop by any of the sites on Saturday, August 21.
“This is what my campaign is all about – listening to Vermonters,” Dubie said. “Everywhere I go, I hear concerns about jobs and the economy and the high taxes in our state. I have a 10-point plan to cut taxes and red tape and make Vermont more affordable. The only solution my opponents offer is raising taxes and creating dozens of new government programs. People see a real difference between my opponents and me. That’s why so many people are drawn to my campaign.”
The campaign has already knocked on more than 44,000 doors, surpassing its goal of reaching 40,000 doors by Labor Day by more than a month. More information is available online at www.40kByLaborDay.com.
