Dubie’s New Online Ad Continues to Push for Jobs Boost
Essex Junction, VT – Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie reiterated his message that Vermont’s business climate can and must be improved with a new online ad for his gubernatorial campaign.
“My message is being heard,” Dubie said. “Last week, the legislature, when threatened with a possible veto of its $1 billion budget, rolled back some of the high, anti-jobs, capital gains and estate taxes it imposed last year. But that’s just the first step in a long journey.”
As governor, Dubie will work with the legislature to pass laws that make the state a partner with its job creators.
“I believe in the Vermont worker,” Dubie said. “The products and services the Vermont worker produces are first-rate. I’ve traveled all over the world promoting their products and know they are second to none. But we simply must give our workers the tools they need to succeed.”
Some have criticized Dubie for saying Vermont can do better.
“Some would rather ignore reality than confront problems,” Dubie charged. “Leadership means taking an honest look at the facts and taking action.”
The ad, which targets Dubie’s commitment to job growth, is one of four online advertisements currently in rotation. One is entitled “Meet Brian Dubie,” and two others target his commitments to women and veterans.
